Privacy Policy.

Last updated: October 2026

The protection of your personal data is important to us. We process your data exclusively on the basis of the statutory provisions (GDPR and the respective applicable national data protection and telecommunications provisions). In this privacy policy we inform you about the most important aspects of data processing within the scope of our website.

1. Controller and EU Representative

The controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:

For any questions regarding data protection, you can reach us at any time at info@automiq.eu.

Representative in the European Union and the United Kingdom (Art. 27 GDPR, Art. 27 UK GDPR): AUTOMIQ LLC is established in the USA and has no establishment in the EU or the United Kingdom. We have engaged DataRep (Data Protection Representative Limited, Dublin, Ireland) as our representative; the appointment is currently being completed. Once it has been confirmed, we will publish the representative's contact details here. Until then, please send data protection enquiries to info@automiq.eu.

2. Your Rights

Under the GDPR you are, in principle, entitled to the following rights:

  • Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR)
  • Right to withdraw a granted consent (Art. 7(3) GDPR)

If you are of the opinion that the processing of your data violates data protection law, you can lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. As the controller does not maintain an establishment in the EU, there is no lead authority (no one-stop-shop); you can contact the data protection supervisory authority of your habitual residence, your place of work or the place of the alleged infringement. In Austria this is the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde) (Barichgasse 40-42, 1030 Vienna, dsb@dsb.gv.at, www.dsb.gv.at); in Germany this is the respective competent state data protection authority or the Federal Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (BfDI).

3. Hosting

This website is hosted by an external service provider (processor):

On our behalf, Hostinger processes in particular access data, contact requests and other data generated via a website. The data processing is carried out on the basis of our legitimate interest in a secure and efficient provision of our online offering (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). A data processing agreement (DPA) pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR has been concluded with the provider.

4. Server Log Files

When our website is accessed, the hosting provider automatically collects information and stores it in so-called server log files, which your browser transmits automatically. These are in particular:

  • IP address of the accessing device
  • Date and time of access
  • Name and URL of the retrieved file
  • Website from which the access is made (referrer URL)
  • Browser used and, where applicable, the operating system

The processing is carried out on the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in the technically error-free presentation and the security of our website. This data is not merged with other data sources.

5. Contacting Us (Contact Form and Email)

If you contact us via the contact form or by email, your details (e.g. name, company, email address, telephone number and your message) are stored by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in case of follow-up questions.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (initiation or performance of a contract) as well as our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required to achieve the purpose and no statutory retention obligations stand in the way.

6. Scheduling Appointments

You arrange appointments with us, for example for an AI potential analysis, by email. No external booking service is integrated. Section 5 applies to the processing of your details.

7. Protection Against Misuse

To protect our contact form and the AI audit (digicheck.automiq.eu) against automated entries (spam), we use only our own measures: a check field that is invisible to humans, for the contact form a minimum time between loading the page and sending, and a limit of a few submissions per hour per internet connection. For this limit we store a pseudonymised check value (hash) of your IP address, which changes daily, on our server for no more than 24 hours; it is deleted afterwards. No data is transferred to third parties in the process. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in preventing misuse and spam (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

8. Language of the Website

On automiq.eu the language follows from the address you open (German at automiq.eu, English at automiq.eu/en/); your location is not determined for this. The AI audit at digicheck.automiq.eu chooses the language based on your browser's language setting or a country code that our hosting provider may supply, and stores your language selection in a technically necessary cookie (lang, 12 months). Your IP address is not transferred to third parties for this. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a language-appropriate presentation of our online offering (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

9. Fonts

This website embeds all fonts used locally (self-hosted) from our own server. No connection to Google servers or other third parties is established; in particular, your IP address is not transmitted to third parties for the purpose of providing fonts.

10. Cookies

Without your consent, our website uses exclusively technically necessary cookies and storage that are required for the operation of the website: your display settings (light or dark view, accessibility) and your choice in the cookie banner are stored locally by your browser (local storage) and do not leave your device; the AI audit stores your language selection in the cookie lang (see point 8). The legal basis is our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) or the applicable national provisions implementing the ePrivacy Directive.

We do not use analytics cookies. We use marketing cookies only if you have consented via our cookie banner (Meta Pixel, see the following paragraph). Most browsers also allow you to restrict or prevent the storage of cookies; this may limit the functionality of the website.

Meta Pixel (only with your consent). If you have consented, we use the Meta Pixel of Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., Merrion Road, Dublin 4, D04 X2K5, Ireland. We use it to measure the effectiveness of our advertisements on Facebook and Instagram and to show advertisements to visitors of our website. The pixel is loaded only after you have consented. It sets cookies (in particular _fbp, stored for up to 90 days) and transfers data to Meta, including IP address, device and browser information, the page visited, the time of the visit and the events “page view” and “contact enquiry sent”. Meta may link this data to an existing Facebook or Instagram account and use it for its own purposes.

The legal basis is exclusively your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and the applicable national provisions implementing the ePrivacy Directive). You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future by opening “Cookie settings” in the footer and choosing “Decline”. We are jointly responsible with Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. for collecting the data and transferring it to Meta (Art. 26 GDPR); the corresponding agreement is available at https://www.facebook.com/legal/controller_addendum. Meta alone is responsible for the subsequent processing. Meta also transfers data to the USA and, according to its own statements, relies on the adequacy decision for the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and on EU standard contractual clauses. 11. Recipients and Third-Country Transfers

Your data is transferred to third parties only insofar as this is necessary for the performance of the contract, you have consented or there is a legal obligation. Only with your consent does the Meta Pixel transfer data to the USA (see point 10).

In addition, the controller (AUTOMIQ LLC) is established in the USA. Within the scope of administration, communication and the handling of enquiries, personal data may therefore be processed in the USA. The transfer to the USA is based on appropriate safeguards, in particular the EU standard contractual clauses pursuant to Art. 46 GDPR. In the USA there may be no level of data protection comparable with the EU; in particular, US authorities may access personal data under certain conditions.

12. Storage Period

We store personal data only for as long as is necessary for the respective purposes or as required by statutory retention obligations (e.g. commercial and tax law periods). After that, the data is deleted.

13. Data Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your data against manipulation, loss, destruction and access by unauthorised persons. The transmission is encrypted via the TLS/SSL protocol.

14. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to adapt this privacy policy so that it always complies with current legal requirements or in order to implement changes to our services. The respective current version applies to your renewed visit.
